Curved Wooden Ceilings

Substrate:
There is a wide selection of particle board, medium density fiberboard, lightweight foams, balsa wood, or a variety of recycled paper boards available – among other choices.

Semi-rigid Surfaces:
The surface laminated of your choice can be specified for the front surfaces (and back, if required), of your Curved Wooden Ceilings panels. Most surface laminates will be more bendable with the patented Curved Wooden Ceilings construction than they would be by other assembly methods. This feature permits greater design freedom with safety. Novel effects can be made the norm; wood veneers or decorative laminates can accent an otherwise average-looking installation.

Panel Size:
In general, panels are available in 4’ x 8’ or 4’ x 10’ sizes, maximum. Some decorative laminates and veneers offer specific dimensions, which control size selection.

Pattern Orientation or Grain Direction:
When selecting wood veneers or locating certain laminates in specific arrangements, it is necessary to specify details at manufacture.

Finishing:
Some face materials can be selected that require a stain or finish coating to be applied in the factory. Coatings are sprayed on after the panel has been curved to the specified dimensions.

Direction and Radii of Curvature:
These parameters can be established by drawing specifications, or by construction a pattern to which the product can be matched.
