Suspended ceiling installation 1. The first step is to measure the size of the ceiling by multiplying its length with the width to get the measurement in square feet. In addition, measure the length of corner edging.
2. Now measure also how high you want the ceiling to be. The standard ones are about 7 foot 6 inches but you could also have them even at 7 foot and 2 inches. Just make sure that the ceiling will not create any problems in opening and closing the door.
3. The first step is to install the corner edging. Keep in mind that it has to be at the same height everywhere. Make sure it is so. Then the next step is to install the hooks to the ceiling joints. You can use a hammer for that. The hooks should be about 2 feet away from the walls and there should be about 4 feet space between each of them.
4. Then install all of the pieces of the cross beam tracking level and attach it to the wires from the hooks. You probably will not find the wire in cut pieces from the store and show have to cut it yourself.
5. Now place the tiles on the framework and use a knife with a straight edge if you need to cut any pieces.
Necessary things:
· tape measure, pen, metal cutters, nails, wire and hooks (the last three should be in an installation kit)
