Any tips on how to wash smoke-stained ceilings without breaking your neck?
I have to help clean these horrible ceilings - coated brown with decades of gross tobacco & cigar smoke! Is there an easier way than standing on a ladder and breaking my neck washing straight up over my head? And what would a good cleanser be for this? Please don't tell me to just paint over them, as they still need to be cleaned before paint. Any shortcuts, tips, advice is much appreciated!
Answer: mix up a strong solution of t.s.p. & water. put on some safety glasses & rubber gloves. use a sponge mop to wash the ceiling with. that's what I use cuz I am tired of the up & down the ladder & neck/ shoulder strain.
You can find t.s.p. in any paint department.
