In the interior decorating trade, do kitchen ceilings have variety of paint finish choices?
do painters use flat paint or a glossy paint on kitchen ceilings? Is either one acceptable to use? Is it ok to use flat? Would it be a negative when you go to sell?
Answer:
You can paint it however you want, don't worry. Remember that if it is a more uneven surface, the glossy paint will highlight it. Whether that's good or bad is up to you. If it is a sprayed or 'popcorn' ceiling just use flat. You can scrape off the popcorn otherwise. It is easy, but very messy. Good luck.
